Winston is a member of the Wye Marsh Association of Woodcarvers. WMAWC currently operates out of a clubhouse located in the middle of the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre near Midland Ontario. A member since 2007, his passion is carving Birds of Prey, but also carves Ducks, Songbirds, and Fish.

Winston has won Best of Show awards in the Open category in Canada and the US.  His work is well known and sought after by collectors.
